Families room for the soldiers in ICU

The soldiers defending Israel’s northern region—and treated at the GMC—come from across the country. The GMC is committed to a personalized treatment approach that supports not only the soldier as a patient, but also their family, recognizing the emotional and logistical challenges they face.

Initial treatment is provided at our facility. However, since families often travel long distances to be near their loved ones, we do everything possible to ease their burden. When the soldier’s condition stabilizes, they are transferred to a hospital closer to their home for continued care.

To support the families during these difficult times, we established a dedicated Soldiers' Family Room near the Intensive Care Unit. This space offers a private, comfortable environment where families can rest, eat, and recharge—without being far from their loved ones. Thoughtfully designed, the lounge includes cozy furniture, storage space, and refreshments, providing a peaceful refuge amid a stressful time.
