With the growing population and the expansion of the Women and Maternity Department, a critical need arose to upgrade and modernize the women's operating suite to meet current demands and professional standards. As a result, a comprehensive renovation was carried out to adapt the operating rooms to updated workflows, separate sterile zones from service and storage areas, and ensure optimal efficiency and safety for both staff and patients.
The new, state-of-the-art surgical complex spans approximately 800 square meters and includes four modern operating rooms equipped with the latest medical technologies. The renovated space also features an upgraded reception area and a spacious recovery room. These enhancements are expected to significantly improve the overall patient experience—for both women undergoing procedures and their families.
A wide range of procedures will be performed in the new surgical suite, including:
Pelvic floor reconstruction and uterine prolapse surgery.
Onco-gynecological surgeries.
Obstetric procedures, including various types of cesarean sections.
Women’s day surgery procedures.
Surgeries for urinary incontinence.
Urogynecological surgeries, including hysterectomy and VNOTES procedures—an advanced, minimally invasive technique for removing the uterus and ovaries through the vagina, without abdominal incisions
In addition to the four operating rooms, an additional operating room dedicated to women is located within the protected maternity ward area, designed primarily for emergency procedures.
The complex will also accommodate surgeries not exclusive to women, including:
General surgeris from both surgical department.
Procedures from the ENT, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Orthopedic (hand surgery) and Pediatric Urology units.
A part of the upgrade, a modern Mohs Laboratory was established within the complex, where precise plastic surgeries for skin lesion removal will be performed.
